Trimingham Pilgrims visited Aslacton and Moulton in their previous league match and came away with a convincing win but the return fixture at MADRA was a much tighter affair.
Antoni Fawkes latched on to a huge drop kick from Leigh Brown and clipped the ball past the keeper to give Pilgrims the lead on eight minutes.
The visitors equalised and then took a surprise lead but the home side got back on terms when George Crane chipped the ball forward, Fawkes gave chase and slotted in his second. Just before the interval George Crane sent Adam Buckenham racing down the left. His low shot was blocked but Jordan Tipple knocked in the rebound. Midway through the second half George Crane scored from a direct freekick just outside the penalty area and it looked like Pilgrims would build up another big score. However the visitors took advantage of a poor back pass to reduce the arrears but the hosts held on to win 4-3.
