Will Dorsett clocked an excellent time of 21:32 in his attempt to break the course record again this year. Perhaps the man to watch is Colin Hayman, who got his second consecutive personal best.
On Easter Sunday the rain had just eased off when seven brave cyclists turned out for a time trial on wet roads with a strong, cold wind. Matt Hicks made it worthwhile cycling over from Northrepps with a fine time of 23:28 in his opening bid to regain the trophy he won in 2010.
