In the Star Paving Services North Norfolk League north Norfolk champion John Paul's incredible run of 143 consecutive singles victories (over 34 months) has finally come to an end.

The Sidewinder lost to Outlaw John Hancock (Jnr) in a five-set thriller. Although they had met each other and shared wins outside of the league, it was the duo's first meeting in North Norfolk and the outcome was a hard-fought match with Hancock hitting and Paul defending.

Hancock got ahead early to dominate the final set which allowed him to close out his 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-3 win and become only the second player ever to defeat Paul in the league.

Outlaws hosted Sidewinders in the teams first-ever meeting in the league as Haken Bennell and Colin Humphries teamed up with Outlaw Hancock and Paul Warner and John Batchford made up the Sidewinders' line-up with Paul. The result of a 5-5 draw means Sidewinders maintain their slender three-points lead at the top.

In Division One, North Walsham Alpha beat Cobras 6-4; Backhanders hosted Sharks but the visitors won 7-3. In a Walsham derby Beta beat Delta 9-1.

The distance between the three teams at the top of the second division hasn't altered with two more 9-1 victories as Seals and Pirates defeated Crosscourts and Poachers respectively. Finally Barracudas had an 8-2 win over Aces.
