Cromer Town scored three times on Saturday - but it still wasn't enough to seal their first win of the season.
The Crabs' derby clash with Stalham Town in the Premier Division of the Anglian Combinaton was a real cracker but had an unhappy ending for the hosts as they went down 4-3, after being 2-1 up at the break.
Adam Buckenham scored twice for Cromer while there was also an own goal but Stalham left with the points after goals from Jack Child (2), Darren Miller and Jordan Tipple. The result means the Crabs remain on zero points for the campaign and the relegation that has been inevitable for some time could be mathematically confirmed on Saturday if they lost at home to Blofield.
Stalham face a daunting trip to leaders Spixworth, who have only dropped two points all season.
In Division One Aylsham's promotion hopes took another knock when they slid to a second successive defeat, this time at home.
Phil Read and James Oliver scored for Aylsham but they lost 3-2 to Bungay Town. The defeat left Aylsham three points behind second placed Hellesdon, having played one more game, ahead a crunch home game against Beccles, the side immediately above them, on Saturday.
North Walsham Town were too good for basement side Dersingham Rovers, winning 4-1 at Greens Road thanks to goals from Matt Downing, Dale Wilton, David Hinton and Matthew Eves.
