Cromer Town will be hoping to avoid a double dose of derby day misery on Friday eveningn.

The Crabs make the short journey to high-flying neighbours Sheringham in desperate need of a boost after being hammered at home by North Walsham Town.

The Cabbell Park faithful have been getting used to the sight of their side getting beaten on a regular basis this season - but there was a new low at the weekend when the Angels left town with a 10-0 win under their belts.

Dale Wilton led the way for the visitors with a hat-trick while Liam Clarke, Luke Hudson, Chaz Skipper and AJ Johnson were also among the goals.

Cromer, who were battling for their very existence during the summer before embarking on another campaign, have now lost all 12 of their fixtures in Division One of the Anglian Combination, with 70 goals conceded and only four scored.

It doesn't get any easier this weekend either (2.30pm kick-off), with opponents Sheringham third in the table, even though they have been dropping points of late.

The Shannocks were involved in a derby of their own on Saturday as they took on fellow high-flyers Aylsham and honours were shared as they returned home with 2-2 draw.

Jack Crane and Jordan Rocastle were on target for Sheringham but goals from Thomas Bush and Sam Bryant ensured a share of the spoils for the in-form hosts.

Joshua Hoare's goal ensured UEA stayed top after their 1-0 success at Scole United whilst Wymondham Town are up to second after their 2-0 win against near neighbours Attleborough Town.

North Walsham are likely to be in for a much tougher game on Saturday when they host Wymondham - who have only dropped two points all season (2pm) - while Aylsham travel to Bungay Town (2.30pm).

Meanwhile it was a day to forget for Stalham Town in the top flight.

Mulbarton Wanderers moved to fourth in the table after thrashing them 7-0 with the goals coming from Jack Guyton (3), Hayden Gibbons, Ben Thompson, Adam Bennett and Jamie Smith.

Stalham will be looking to put that heavy defeat behind them on Saturday when they welcome Beccles Town to Rivers Park (2pm).

Holt remain second in Division Two, nine points behind runaway leaders Easton, after winning a seven-goal thriller at Acle United Reserves. They came through it 4-3 thanks to goals from Lloyd Briggs, Matthew George, Aaeron Moss and Tom Todd.

The Owls have a big home game at the weekend, with third placed East Harling providing the opposition (2pm).
