Cromer Lifeboat Cup kicked off on Monday with a pulsating quarter-final between two evenly matched teams, with Sheringham Reserves eventually beating Mundesley 4-0.
Mundesley took control early on but conceded a penalty on 15 minutes and then conceded a further two goals, one through a penalty and an excellent headed goal. Sheringham went into the break 3-0 up.
In the second half Sheringham continued to play some good football and went further ahead with a well taken goal. All credit must go to Mundesley who never gave up, even though conceding that fourth goal, and one can see why they are in top position in their league.
Next Monday's quarter-final match at Cabbell Park sees Runton take on Gimingham, kick off 6.45pm.
