Cromer had the upper hand as they took a winning draw at home to North Runcton in the Norfolk Alliance Premier Division, while the A team saw a stand of 211 in 30 overs in the Norfolk League.

Tom Davies scored 45 in Cromer first team's 211-9, Darren Cubitt grabbing four wickets. Runcton managed 163-7 in reply, having been restricted by Dean Elliott (4-23) and Michael Warnes (3-34). Jimmy Kgamadi (33) top scored.

Cromer A continued their winning ways in Norfolk League Division Three when they travelled to mid-table Belton. Belton have been a bit of a bogey side recently and so it was with some trepidation that Cromer A travelled to Southtown Common.

Yet another winning toss and Cromer A chose to bat on what looked a good wicket. Cromer were a much changed side with both Gascoyne and Webster arriving from the first team with Wright and Lithins making the opposite journey. Previous week's hero Dickens was unavailable and Turner was back from his weekend off. What looked like a perfect opening pairing of youth and experience lasted just three overs, and by six overs both openers were back in the pavilion, Gascoyne caught behind and Turner leaving one that cut back and clean bowled him.

Barret and Regis settled things and were looking comfortable against a very good opening attack of Plummer and Jackson until, in the 12th over, Regis caused a run-out and Barret was left stranded on 14.

With the arrival of the experienced Graveling, he and Regis set about repairing the damage in a stand of 211 runs in 30 overs, Regis hitting 16 boundaries in his 101 and Graveling hitting 12 in his 97. Both played well, punishing the bad balls and keeping the score moving. Cromer finished on 249 from 45 overs.

After tea it was over to the opening bowling of Battrick and Regis, the latter soon recovering from his exploits with the bat but Battrick initially struggled with the his run-up on the raised square and unusually the pair went for 54 from the initial opening salvo.

However, they had taken two wickets, both bowled by Battrick. Belton faced a huge task but they had no intention of going down without a fight.

The pace of Cromer's attack was only going to help Belton so Van Greuning called upon the leg spin of David Turner and the swing of Webster. In the next 10 overs the pair removed seven batsmen for 58 runs and in the process wrapped up a maximum 26 points, completed when Alex Craske needed just two balls for Battrick to do the honours in catching the last man and securing a victory by 133 runs.

A much need 26 points from a game played in good spirit.

Man of the Match: Regis for his ton but Graveling hot on his tail.

That was the halfway point in the league and Saturday sees the first of the return fixtures with Cromer A travelling to Loddon.
