Buxton, who had five games in hand, let two points slip away from a 3-3 (Abbs, Callow, Henderson) draw at Gimingham, thus eroding their paper advantage to just one point with the crunch game at home to the league leaders looming.

Mundesley seriously damaged Erpingham's chances with a 4-1 victory, their marksmen Lloyd (2), Clark, Cine with Sutton scoring for the losers.

Corpusty's campaign prospered with goals from Ramm (2), Hudson, Worthington and Broughton defeating North Walsham OB 5-0.

Coltishall, who beat Aylsham A 4-1, are up to second spot, two points adrift on level games.

Holt A continue to race away at the top of Knights Trophies Division Three after winning their top of the table clash against Cromer YOB by a comfortable 5-2 margin thanks to goals from Jarvis (2), Williamson, Curtis, og. Stalham are their main challengers after an important 3-1 (C Fogg, J Fogg, Moore) win over Gimingham.
