THE Norfolk and Norwich Scope Association (NANSA) Bowls League two-wood cup final between Blakeney and Mill Farm Private, which took place at Holt on Sunday, resulted in a very high standard cliff-hanger of a match.
Mill Farm took the lead by three shots at the fifth end with Blakeney pulling back to lead by four shots at 10 ends and holding on to the lead by just two shots at 15 ends.
It was neck and neck to the finish with one rink having a 'no end' and one a 'no scoring' end. Blakeney held on to win 55-52.
Vice-chairman David Clayton congratulated both teams on an excellent match and thanked Holt for the use of their green.
The cups will be officially presented at the annual dinner at Woodland Leisure Park, Trimingham on Saturday, October 10, along with all other trophies and a donation to NANSA.
