Bradfield Cricket Club's 2008 season got off to the best possible start when a grant for more than £20,000 was secured to provide two state of the art practice nets. This investment secures Bradfield's enviable reputation as having the best outdoor facilities in the area and after last year's wash out summer, means that the youth section will be able to train in the event of less clement weather.

Following their successful promotion season last year, Bradfield have secured the services of Rhys Holmes, from Tasmania, to boost their winning side as they adapt to League 1. Rhys plays his cricket back home for North Hobart, and is looking forward to experiencing the cricketing challenges an English summer can bring. First team captain David Yarham said “We are delighted to welcome a player of Rhys's calibre and hope his input will assist us in securing our Division One status”.

Adding to the feel good factor has been Credo Finance coming on board as main sponsor. Simon Gray is pictured with Club Vice Chairman Carl Wiseman. Simon, from Credo, is a keen supporter of the club in both pratical and financial terms and said “Seeing dozens of children running around with great big smiles on their faces every Saturday morning is something I am delighted to be able to support”.
