Awards for Sheringham gymnasts

JUNIOR members of Sheringham Gymnastics Club were very successful in a recent British Gymnastics Awards testing session, where many new members were presented with their first gymnastics awards by club coach Derek Welch.

JUNIOR members of Sheringham Gymnastics Club were very successful in a recent British Gymnastics Awards testing session, where many new members were presented with their first gymnastics awards by club coach Derek Welch.

The awards presented were for the key Steps Body Management Level One which teaches youngsters the basic elements of gymnastics and is the first award in a series designed to take young gymnasts through to more advanced moves and higher levels. The award schemes also form the basis of the club's annual championships to be held in the early part of next year.

The successful gymnasts were Peter Hammond, Isaiah Hammond, Megan Steer, Elise Steer, Holly Rumsby, Kira-Rae Harrison, Felicity Hagan, Robyn Millard, Kezia Ball, Kelsey Pegg, Georgie Sanville, Sian Stoppani, Sophie Mikellides, Serena McMillan, and Christine Campbell.

The club which recently relocated to the Splash Leisure Centre is progressing rapidly and plans are in hand for next year's competition season.
