The second race in Great Yarmouth's Five-Mile Series was a Runner's Centre Grand Prix event and attracted some of the big guns from the North Norfolk Beach Runners, helping the Cromer club to a good haul of prizes.

North Walsham's Steve Jones made a rare appearance on the race circuit and finished fifth out of 180, taking first prize in the 40-plus category with a terrific 27:13. Paul Muffett continued his great winter form by dipping just under the 30-minute barrier for 13th place overall and first place in the 50-plus age group.
With John Christopher putting in a great run to cross the line in 31:08, the Beach Runners were easy winners of the veteran team prize. Splitting up the veteran team was Darren Neale, who put in an excellent run to finish 16th in 30:22.
Chris Parker ran a pb 31:37 for 28th in one of the best races of his career, whilst Clare Donavon was second lady.
Maurice Page made a surprise return to Beach Runner colours with a steady 33:19, just ahead of Ryan Callaby, who clocked 33:44 for a top 50 finish.
Father and son Ian and Chris Wade were not far apart with Chris finishing in 25:28, just over a minute ahead of his father. Both were bested by Rob Emery's excellent 35:05 for 72nd place.
Ian Jarvis managed to stay a few seconds ahead of the evergreen Geoff Hayward, who showed that he still has some speed in his legs with a good 38:05.
Completing the contingent of 16 Beach Runners taking on the windy seafront course were Jonathan Folkard (42:01), Karen Emery (51:51) and Margaret Ison (1-01:50).
Andi Osborne ran Thetford's Breckland 10k, a race that was over-subscribed.
Andi managed to finish 217th in a field of 321 runners.
