Paddy Mournian, a member at Royal Cromer Golf Club, has set himself the challenge of playing 100 holes in one day to raise funds for the club captain's chosen charity, Asperger East Anglia.

In total, Paddy will walk an estimated 24 miles around the course, with plenty of taxing climbs to test him along the way.

Club captain Jayne Jones, the first woman to hold the position in the club's 129 year history, was thrilled by the generous offer and will be there to see him off. To complete the challenge, Paddy will need to begin at sunrise, which is at 4.30am, and will not finish until around 8pm.

Prior to Paddy's announcement, Jayne had pledged to complete a charity cycle ride in support of the same cause.

Paddy's Challenge will take place on Tuesday, June 20 and Jayne's Charity Cycle Ride is on Friday, July 7. Anyone wishing to support the charity efforts can find out more by ringing the club on 01263 512884.
