Hundreds of young bookworms celebrated completing the annual Norfolk Library and Information Service Summer Reading Challenge, at awards ceremonies held at five north Norfolk libraries.
Organised by literacy charity The Reading Agency, the nationwide scheme aims to encourage primary school-aged youngsters to read at least six books during the summer holidays, with those taking part gaining stickers as they go.
This year's theme was Animal Agents, based on a detective agency staffed by a group of crime-solving critters.
Area librarian Jacqui Salter said: 'Because our libraries also organise lots of fun activities, the challenge is hugely motivating.'
District councillor Judy Oliver, who handed out certificates and medals, said: 'It is wonderful to see so many children taking part, the Summer Reading Challenge is a fantastic way of keeping them reading over the holidays.'
