One of the winners of a north Norfolk town's train trail was an entry called 'Chuffed to Bits'.
After the success of its last two trails (Wherries and Windmills), Stalham Town Council ran a Steam Train Trail around the town to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the closing of Stalham station and the Museum of the Broads' exhibition on the railway.
The trail ran from May 4 until August Bank Holiday Monday and culminated in an exhibition of the trains in the town hall on Saturday, August 31 when the winners were announced and prizes awarded.
The winner of the Best Dressed was The Museum of the Broads entry - 'See the Broads by Train'; in second place was Stalham in Bloom's entry - 'The Daisy Train' with third place going to The Post Office entry - 'Train of Thought'. The Best Named train was Stalham DIY's entry - 'Chuffed to Bits' with The Daisy Train placed second and Train of Thought coming in third. The people's choice winner was Stalham Academy Art's entry - 'Chattanooga Chew Chew'.
The trains had been provided to participating businesses, schools and cubs, who decorated them in any way they chose and displayed them in businesses around town. Trail leaflets were available at all participating businesses and participants could vote for their favourite on the people's choice slip.
Lucky voter Carole Cole's name was drawn out of the hat and will receive her prize.
