After an appeal by event organisers, ample volunteers have stepped up to help out with the North Norfolk Triathlon, happening this weekend.
Robert Smith MBE, harbourmaster in Wells, has promised 'freedom and fresh air' to potential volunteers when appealing to them online.
He said: "We completely sold out of places before the end of 2018. We can't have any more than 350 taking part because they would end up swimming against the tide, which we don't want.
"I put out the appeal online, and we had enough people come forward to make us comfortable.
"All the money raised goes to Wells Maritime Trust, who encourage young people out into the harbour. Normally, we raise about £7,000.
"It's our 12th annual event, and it really shows the coast at its finest."
Sunny weather, high tide and temperatures of 12°C are expected at 8.15am, when the race begins.
