Burglaries at Cromer over the New Year period have prompted police to remind householders to secure their properties, and hide expensive items. Jewellery and an Ipod were stolen from a house on Bernard Road, and car keys and cash at Victoria Terrace off the High Street, while there was an attempted break-in at a conservatory on Norwich Road.

Jewellery and an Ipod were stolen from a house on Bernard Road, and car keys and cash at Victoria Terrace off the High Street, while there was an attempted break-in at a conservatory on Norwich Road.
All the incidents happened between 9.30pm on New Year's Eve and 1.30am on New Year's Day.
Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team have issued a warning about household security.
Sgt Sarah Blyth said by taking simple steps such as locking doors and windows, and removing expensive items such as laptops and car keys from display people could prevent crimes.
