Pupils at a north Norfolk primary school have celebrated the opening of a new adventure play area.
On Monday, pupils, staff, parents and friends of Walsingham Primary School gathered to celebrate the official launch of the school’s new adventure play feature, The Brig.
Costing around £5,000, the new play equipment was organised and paid for by The Friends of Walsingham School, who work to fund raise for the school.
Enjoying good weather and bright autumn sunshine, the opening ribbons were cut by Violet May Piggott and Rordan Akers, pupils at the school whose names were pulled out of a pot by, Maureen Howard, the vice chair of governors.
Once the ribbons where cut, the whole school enjoyed exploring The Brig and celebrated the opening with a slice of cake and ice cream.
Walsingham Primary School is a member of the Pilgrim Federation of Church of England Primary Schools, other schools in the federation include Blakeney, Hindringham and Kelling.
