A showcase of opportunities for volunteers in north Norfolk is being staged at its heritage railway this weekend.More than 40 groups are running stands at a volunteer fair, offering chances to help out with ventures as diverse as air defence, conservation, animal rescue, theatre and health.

More than 40 groups are running stands at a volunteer fair, offering chances to help out with ventures as diverse as air defence, conservation, animal rescue, theatre and health.
Organiser Paul Smith of Voluntary Norfolk said estimates from 2006 showed 9,500 people gave 900,000 hours of their time to help projects that year.
'Volunteering is good for you - you meet new friends, learn new skills and just get real pleasure out of helping others,' he added.
The displays will be at the Sheringham and Holt stations of the North Norfolk Railway - which relies heavily on volunteers - from 10am to 3pm on Saturday.
As an added incentive the first 200 people attending, aged over 16, will get a reduced price train ride on the line.
