Stolen vintage motorcycle reunited with its owner
A vintage motorcycle has been reunited with its owner after it was stolen in Holt.
North Norfolk Police said the BSA 650cc black two-seater had been found and a man had been arrested in connection with its theft.
The bike, which was first registered in 1949, was recovered on Wednesday, May 9, after it was stolen during a burglary at a property in Hempstead Road, Holt, which was reported to police on April 29.
Inspector Ed Brown said: “This was a good example of community intelligence in action to identify where stolen property was being held and, as a consequence, we have been able to reunite the owner with their cherished motorbike”.
Insp Brown said a 23-year-old man from Holt had been arrested in connection with the theft.
He said other items including power tools were taken during the burglary.
He said: “These remain outstanding and we would urge the community to be vigilant and report to us anybody attempting to sell such items cheaply. The male has subsequently been released under investigation as police undertake ongoing enquiries.”
