Village postpones fireworks display due to high winds

A fireworks display in north Norfolk has been postponed due to high winds.
A spokesman for Bodham village bonfire and fireworks committee said: "Due to the Met Office weather warning for wind issues, organisers have, in the interests of public safety, decided to postpone the Bodham village bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 2. The display will now take place on Sunday, November 3."
A weather warning is in place for Norfolk on Saturday with high winds forecast.

Gusts approaching 50mph are being forecast, with winds peaking around lunchtime.
The Met Office yellow warning said that south-westerly winds were expected to cause rough seas and flying spray along the north-west Norfolk coastline.
The event will be held at Bodham playing field, with gates open at 5pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and firework display at 7pm.
