Video: Scene of Broads boat tragedy near Salhouse Little Broad

This video shows the police cordon near the scene where two bodies were recovered from the Norfolk Broads this weekend.

Police have confirmed that a man and a woman, believed to be in their 40s and from the Surrey area, were found dead in the River Bure yesterday.

The search was launched when a pleasure craft was found with a 13-year-old girl, the dead woman's daughter, on board alone.

This afternoon, police tape was still cordoning off a secluded, leafy inlet opposite the entrance to Salhouse Little Broad, off the River Bure, between Wroxham Broad and the main Salhouse Broad.

A Broads Authority launch and a police inflatable are guarding the spot, although there was no 'scenes of crime' activity at 3pm today.

Meanwhile, a steady stream of water-borne holiday traffic continues its journeys along the river, seemingly oblivious to what might have taken place on Sunday morning.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue service's search and recovery team recovered the body of the girl's mother shortly after 2pm yesterday and found the body of the woman's partner shortly after 4.30pm.
