Aylsham High School student Leah Feetham, 12, and 10-year-old Carly Thorpe, a year 6 pupil at North Walsham Juniors, will both take to the stage in the title role. Carly made her debut last year as an understudy in Oliver.

Director Tracey Loftus said: “So many enthusiastic and talented children came to audition that it was impossible to pick just the 11 we wanted, so I decided to try doubling the parts up - a first for me. I was worried it would make rehearsals difficult but actually it’s worked really well and by watching each other rehearse, all the young actresses have improved their skills.”

Annie runs from April 16-20, with shows every evening at 7.30pm and a matinée on Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets available at www.ticketsource.co.uk or call 0333 666 3366.
