A North Norfolk lifeboat station had a busy weekend of training as it gears up to operating two boats from a single base.
Happisburgh's RNLI base has added a larger Atlantic 75 boat to its previous inshore boat, and construction of a new station to house both boats and tractors is due to be finished by the end of May.
The volunteer crew has just had 2 days of training, on land and sea, from eastern divisional trainer and assessor Tom Pederson.
It covered boat handling, navigation, anchoring, towing, capsize drills, pyrotechnic equipment and fitness tests, using both boats.
The training was for all crew from helmsmen to the newest crewman and would help them all improve and enable the station to plan their training needs, said station spokesman Philip Smith.
