Tiny windmills are about to fill a north Norfolk town as part of a special summer trail.

After the success of last year’s ‘wherry trail’, Stalham Town Council are running a windmill trail this year

Wooden mills made by Mike Fuller of the Museum of the Broads have been supplied to various shops, businesses, schools and organisations around town for them to decorate as they wish.

There are 38 windmills which will be placed in prominent positions in premises from Monday, May 7 until the august Bank holiday, Monday 27. Trail forms are available free in participating premises.

And visitors can vote for their favourite mills with a chance to win a prize in a free draw.

Completed forms should be placed in the Town Hall letterbox at the right hand side of the hall.

The best dressed as voted for by the public will win a prize and a trophy with the best named winning a prize and a certificate. All the windmills will be displayed together in the Town Hall from 9am to midday September 1 when the winners will be announced and prizes presented.
