Visitors to Felbrigg Hall near Cromer have been warned not to leave valuables on show in their cars after a spate of recent thefts.
Over recent weekends seven cars have been broken into by smashing the windows and items such as handbags and laptop computers stolen.
Chief Insp Steve Jones urged people visiting the National Trust property to lock valuables in the boot, or take them with them.
'Insurance companies may not pay out if people haven't taken the necessary precautions, so it can be an expensive lesson,' he added.
