Pupils from a north Norfolk school have been getting into character and helping raise money for charity at the same time.
Stalham Junior School pupils held a Character Day in order to raise money for the local First Responders group, with children and Staff coming to school dressed as a character from a book or film.
The best most originally dressed children received book tokens for their efforts.
Following an assembly by the First Responders, the children participated in a character trail which involved identifying 25 famous book and film faces. Prizes were given out for the highest mark in each class.
A book cover competition was also held on the day, where children choose a book title and designed a cover to match, blurb for the back and even a barcode. Twelve book covers were then chosen and prizes were awarded.
The school raised a total of �257 to help the First Responders buy a defibrillator.
A spokesman for the school said it was 'a fantastic effort'.
