Family and friends at Stalham Hall sang traditional Christmas carols around the Christmas tree accompanied by Stalham Brass band.
The band has been performing carols around the Stalham area each Christmas since it was formed by the then owner of the Hall Edward Cooke 140 years ago to keep his farm labourers occupied during the dark winter days, when work on the frozen land was impossible.
The visit to Stalham Hall rounds off the band's traditional period of 'mumping', just before Christmas when the poor used to go begging to the homes of wealthy landowners, probably singing to increase their appeal.
