Police are urging business owners to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in Holt.
Three burglaries took place in the town, all sometime between 5pm on Tuesday, August 10, and 7am the following day .
Entry was gained through a kitchen window in two of the burglaries and a forced back door in the third. Items stolen included alcohol, cash, and at one location, thieves broke into slot machine.
Police are now encouraging local businesses to sign up for police updates and security advice through their messaging service, Police Direct.
Subscribers choose the areas from which they which to receive updates depending on where they live and work, and messages can then be sent by email, mobile, landline or fax.
Users are kept up-to-date about crime and policing issues where they live or work, including warnings about bogus callers, rogue traders and spates of crime, as well as crime reduction advice and news from their local Safer Neighbourhood Team.
