Mundesley’s traditional soap box derby returned for its fourth year, as adults and children alike took to the streets for some creative and competitive fun.

The event was hosted by 1st Mundesley Air Scouts, and was held on the high street and in Mundesley’s Gold Park, on Saturday, June 30.

Racing began at 12pm and the derby event ran from 11am - 3pm, offering a barbeque, refreshments, stalls and a DIY craft tent.

Anna Hollis, assistant group scout leader, said: “All money raised goes to the scout group to provide activities for beavers, cubs and scouts.”

In 2017, the event saw 28 racers take to the streets and speed through the village centre.

The event was reintroduced to Mundesley by the scouts group in 2014 after a break of ten years.
