A team of Sheringham High School sixth formers have raised £268 for their local lifeboat, by organising rounders and football matches and running a refreshment stall as part of their school sports day.
Inspired by a talk given by Sheringham RNLI chairman Phil Hawes, Liam Copeman, Ellie Wegg, Emma Chalmers, Kieran Head, Logan Price and Euan Carrier recruited fellow sixth form members to help plan and organise the fundraising event, which aimed to help replace cash stolen during a break-in at the station.
The group, who also took part in a work experience visit to the seafront station, presented a cheque to crew members Paul Pretty and Kate Munro.
Head of sixth form Ramin Keshavarz said: 'I am very proud of whole of the sixth form, and particularly Ellie, Emma, Liam, Kieran, Logan and Euan; their efforts will stand them in good stead for the future.'
