Staff and pupils at Sheringham Primary School donned spotty outfits, held a spotty-‘cake-off’ and hosted a ‘Spotastic’ parents’ coffee morning, raising more than £550 for Children in Need.

Pupils paid £1 to come to school wearing spotty clothes, while cakes bakes by children and parents were sold for 50p each at break time.

A ‘cake-off’ competition was won by Year 4 pupil Rosetta, who cooked up a batch of buns decorated with icing Pudsey Bears and the Children in Need logo.

The school, which regularly supports the campaign, last year raised more than £400 by holding a sports stars and super heroes event, with teachers performing on stage in a Stars in Their Eyes-style rock concert featuring acts ranging from Taylor Swift to One Direction.

“As a caring school, we try to do something different every year,” said Year 4 teacher Ingrid Stocker. “It is a fantastic cause and it helps children be aware that there are others less fortunate than they are.”
