Sheringham carnival committee is appealing to community-minded people over 16 to put themselves in the running to become a member of this year's 'royal' family, at a selection evening on April 26.
The carnival queen and her attendants should either live, work or go to school within a five-mile radius of the town.
Those chosen will represent Sheringham at carnival events, as well as having a chance to judge competitions, visit local residential homes, help choose the carnival prince and princess and take part in the Cromer Carnival parade.
They will also be given cash prizes, have their hair and make up done professionally and be able to choose from a range of evening dresses.
The selection evening, which will include hair and make demonstrations and canapes and mocktails, is at 18 Cromer Road at 6.30pm.
