Series of events being planned to support farming charity
A series of fund-raising events to help a farming charity will be held in Norfolk in the coming weeks.
Norfolk raised £24,258 for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), but the charity spent almost £100,000 on supporting 75 beneficiaries in the county.
Over the past 10 years, Norfolk’s fund-raising committee has raised more than £300,000 but the charity spends significantly more on helping people from across the farming industry in the county.
The Norfolk committee will welcome RABI’s chairman, Malcolm Thomas, and chief executive Paul Borrows, to Sir John White’s Salle estate, near Reepham, next month.
Yorkshire farmer Mr Thomas will meet fund-raisers and supporters from across the region during his two-day visit, which includes competing in a fun quiz on April 19 at East Tuddenham Village Hall.

Tickets will cost £20 and can be obtained through NFU group secretaries and committee members.
