The seal, thought to have been born in December, was found on the beach just near the pier at around midday on Saturday.

The Seal and Bird Rescue Trust, in North Walsham, were on the scene to have a look at the pup.

Seal rescuer, Dean Pinder, said: 'We met the RPSCA down on the beach and could see the seal had mange and lungworm as it had blood around its mouth.'

The pup was then taken to the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre for treatment.
