Churches in the Poppyland area of north Norfolk are hoping for a big turn-out for their ‘Big Brew’ event at Northrepps village hall.
The Fairtrade Fortnight event is part of the nationwide celebration of 40 years of Traidcraft, the trading company that buys directly from small farming cooperatives and the charity which teaches farmers more efficient methods and techniques to overcome the local effects of climate change.
People attending will be able to learn skills they need to turn their potential into profit.
Spokesman Mike Terry said: “We are hosting a ‘Big Brew’ with plenty of coffee, tea and chat, cakes galore, and a superb range of delicious delights of fantastic quality. Eat in and take a selection box home.
“We will also have many Fairtrade products for sale. Sainsbury’s has kindly donated some of the ingredients in support of this.“
It runs from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, March 2.
