The June 1-3 reunion is being organised by Peter Wegg, who expects more than 100 people along including local veterans and serving servicemen.

Events will include a barbecue on Friday, a service at Sheringham's war memorial on Saturday at 10.50am, and a buffet at the town's Tyneside Club starting at 7pm. Mr Wegg said: 'If you see any of these people around the town on the Saturday, please say hello. All food for the weekend is paid for by fundraising around the community and my colleagues from Cromer Hospital, but a special mention must go to Sheringham dart players, donating a generous £380.'

Mr Wegg said everyone was welcome at the Saturday service, and any ex-Pioneers from the region were welcome at the buffet dinner, which would be free. Mr Wegg organised a similar event in 2016.
