An 80-year-old retired family doctor had a fall in hospital and later died, an inquest heard.
Dacre Prosser, from The Hill, Swanton Abbott, who used to work at the North Walsham Birchwood surgery, was pronounced dead at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on August 19.
Norfolk coroner William Armstrong told an inquest in Norwich on Wednesday that Dr Prosser's health deteriorated after the fall.
A post-mortem examination was carried out but the cause of death has not been established. The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
