An angry restaurant owner has hit back after he was forced to cancel a popular Halloween music event because of noise complaints.
Andrew Hubbard, who owns Craftburger on Cromer seafront, said he had run the popular live music/DJ event from 8pm to midnight for the last five years.
North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) said it had received complaints about the noise and issued an abatement notice.
Mr Hubbard said: "Our annual Halloween event which has been such an amazing success for the past three years will no longer be happening for the foreseeable future.
"We have 10 flats above Craftburger of which one made a complaint.
"So you see how it goes from there. It️seems businesses have no rights to earn money unless it's done in silence. So we'd like to thank the resident along with the council for continuing to make Cromer such a boring town with nowhere for people to enjoy themselves of an evening.

"We even offered to put the residents up in a hotel for the weekend, with dinner and B&B.
"We tried everything but I'm afraid we're governed by a generation of people who forgot what the '80s was all about.
"Thank you everyone for helping us make amazing memories and laughs and we hope to see you all soon for the silent disco we'll try and organise next year."
A NNDC spokesan said an abatement notice was served on Craftburger following a series of noise complaints from three nearby properties.
A spokesman said: "As agreed with Craftburger an officer attended the premises and complainants' homes during the Halloween event in 2018 and found that the noise was excessively loud. The floor was vibrating an unreasonable amount and would clearly affect the resident's ability to relax and sleep in their homes.
"As a result of the nuisance witnessed, an abatement notice was served, explaining that in order to continue hosting such events, Craftburger was required to produce a scheme to control the noise. No scheme has been provided.
"It would be possible for Craftburger to continue to hold events if the conditions of the noise abatement notice were met."
