Anglian Water has apologised for the inconvenience caused by a closed stretch of road in north Norfolk - for the third time in six months.

Delmar Ford, who lives near the site of the works in Cromer Road, Metton, said the roadworks were a problem for residents. He said: "This is causing real frustration and costing everyone money in the village as they close the road and don't seem to be doing the work for which the road closure is in place."

Mr Ford said the road had already faced closures twice in the past half-year.

An Anglian Water spokesman said: "We are sorry for any inconvenience these works have caused

These new sections of main will keep taps running and reduce the likelihood of bursts and interruptions to supply for our customers in the future. The connection has now been completed and we are due to reopen the road at the end of the week. We would like to thank our customers for their patience and co-operation whilst these essential works have been completed."
