It's already a record-breaking year for Grey Seal pupping on Blakeney Point in north Norfolk - and there's still four weeks of the season left.
The Grey Seal pup count on Thursday, December 7 recorded 103 born in the last three days.
This took the running total pup births to 2,498 so far this season. This is 36 more than the previous record season (2014/15) and there are still more pups to come over the next couple of weeks.
Ranger Ajay Tegala said: 'The Grey Seal colony grew every year from 2001/02 to 2014/15. Now, following two years of relative stability in pup numbers, they are experiencing another record-breaking year.'
Blakeney Point, part of Blakeney National Nature Reserve, is the oldest nature reserve in Norfolk, handed to the National Trust in 1912 following a public appeal. The reserve is now recognised and protected by a raft of national and international designations.
