Police coupled up to a steam railway engine to track down a missing woman at Aylsham.
Officers were already searching the area, following a call from concerned carers, when staff at the town's Bure Valley Railway spotted a woman walking alongside the track.
The narrow gauge railway, which runs tourist trains to Wroxham, let police board the Blickling Hall engine number six and travel along the track to speed up their search.
The woman was found unhurt and returned safely to her care home after the incident on September 14.
PC Richard Parfitt said: 'Without the help of the railway, it would have taken longer to find the missing woman. We appreciated their help on the day and would like to thank them for letting us board the train.'
