Through your paper I would like to make an appeal to the people and community of Cromer and it's surrounding areas, regarding the future of Cromer Town Football Club.

From the early 1970s to the mid 1990s, I was fortunate to represent the club as a player, committee member and regularly helped Norman Troller run the Cromer FC bingo. At the end of my playing days I then went on to manage the Cromer reserve team for several years before ending my connection with the Club.

Having attended two recent meetings which were called to determine the future of the Club, it has become evident that more support is needed to ensure Cromer Football Club's survival.

It has been stated that the Annual General Meeting will be held at Cabbell Park during the second week in July (date/time to be confirmed), when the public support/non support at this meeting will decide the future of the Club.

So come on the people of Cromer whatever your age or help you can give in an official, financial, general or playing capacity, I urge you to attend this meeting.

Let's not let the heritage and hard work of all past and present players, committee members, volunteers and the legacy of the Club go to waste, and keep this Club going.
