Staff and students at schools in north Norfolk have celebrated 'amazing' and 'outstanding' exam results despite changes to the course structure.
The first pupils who took the new linear A-level exams received their results this year.
And teachers at Sheringham High School and Paston College in North Walsham praised them for their hard work and success.
The North Walsham sixth form college saw 74.7pc of pupils achieve A*-C grades and maintained a 99.3pc pass rate across all exams, which head of A-levels Helen Williams called an 'amazing achievement'.
She said: 'We are delighted to have maintained the pass rate of 99.3pc across the 546 exams that were taken by our students.
'We are incredibly proud of all the students and are celebrating the amazing achievement of the 19 students who attained A* or A grades in all of their A level subjects.'
While students at Sheringham High School achieved 73pc A*-C, described as 'outstanding' by headteacher Andrew Richardson.
He said: 'This has been another year of outstanding A-level results at Sheringham Sixth Form.
'We are extremely proud of the grades achieved, fully reflecting the hard work and commitment of all our students, and the fantastic support from staff and parents.
'With nearly a quarter of all students achieving either an A* or A grade, almost three-quarters achieving A* – C grades, and all achieving at least an E grade, we maintain an excellent results track record. '
Paston College pupil Kieran Davis, 18, achieved four A* grades in chemistry, biology, maths and psychology A-levels, which he said was an 'overwhelming' result.
And the student, who grew up in Sprowston will be staying close to home, after choosing to study medicine at the University of East Anglia (UEA).
He added: 'There were a few tears this morning - my mum and dad were proud.'
And Anna Brady, from Sheringham High School, who will be venturing further afield at Selwyn College, Cambridge to read History, put her success down to starting early and taking her revision cards on long dog walks.
She said: 'Of course the help and support from parents and teachers is paramount but Poppy deserves a huge amount of credit as she put up with me walking for miles talking through my History facts and dates.'
