Norfolk police are putting the brakes on speeding motorists in Aylsham.
After worried locals told their Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) about their concerns over speeding in the town centre and nearby Lammas, the team pledged to tackle the problem.
In the three months since it was deemed a priority issue, the SNT has issued 35 fixed penalty notices, given verbal warnings and worked with traffic and response officers to cut speeding.
Residents have asked the team to carry on their work for the next three months, as well as tackling anti-social behaviour in the area, and Lammas and Buxton villagers are hoping to set up speed watch schemes to help deal with the issue.
