Police are investigating after a suspected arson attack in Cromer.

Fire crews from Cromer, Sheringham and North Walsham were called to Overstrand Road just before 1pm today.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “Appliances from Cromer, Sheringham and North Walsham attended a fire in a propane tank which spread to a fence on Overstrand Road. Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish; a thermal image camera to check for hotspots and the police were requested due to deliberate ignition.”

A Norfolk police spokesman said they would investigate the fire.
