Police officers investigating a robbery in Clenchwarton near King's Lynn are exploring possible links between it and a robbery in Sheringham earlier this month.

The Co-op store, in Main Road, was targeted by two hooded men at about 6.45am yesterday (Wednesday) and an unknown amount of money was taken.

The men forced their way inside the shop and off-licence, which is near the village primary school, before threatening staff and making off with a number of cash bags.

A police spokesman said this afternoon: 'Enquiries continue into the robbery and we are looking at any possible links between this robbery and one that took place in Sheringham at a Co-op, in Church Street, on August 8 at about 6.30am.

'We would take this opportunity to re-appeal for witnesses.'

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call King's Lynn CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
