Police were called to a seafront hotel at Cromer this afternoon to deal with a holidaymaker with mental health problems whose behaviour had become threatening.
A handful of police cars attended the incident at the Hotel de Paris about 5pm. Sgt Graham Bentley said the man, in his 40s, was travelling in a party with a charity from Stoke and his condition had deteriorated during the day despite his medication.
It was planned to return him home, but the police presence was to ensure his safety, so close to the sea, and the safety of other guests.
