Redundant farm buildings near Sheringham feature in plans for a small holiday development by a company well-known for its environmentally-friendly tourist accommodation in north Norfolk.

Blue Sky Leisure, which runs the award-winning Kelling Heath and Woodhill parks at Weybourne and East Runton, is drawing up a scheme for Hall Farm, behind Beeston Hall School, at Beeston Regis.

It involves nine holiday units, a bunk barn and stabling in a mix of converted farm buildings and traditional-style new build.

Company director Michael Timewell said: 'We were looking for another opportunity in the north Norfolk area and this came up. It will be small select development we feel is right for the area.'

The bunk barn was aimed at walkers and cyclists enjoying the local countryside. The venture would create a handful of year-round jobs too.

On Friday local people can find out more about the plans at a pre-application exhibition being staged at the school from 2-8pm.
