A pensioner was battered with a baseball bat in a daylight attack in Holt, police said.
Officers are seeking witnesses to the attack on the 68-year-old man, who was walking in the Fish Hill area of the North Norfolk market town at about 6.30pm on Thursday, September 30.
Police said he was approached by another man who hit him several times with a weapon, believed to be a baseball bat. The victim suffered severe bruising and a facial injury as a result of the incident.
His attacker, a white man in his 20s, ran from the scene after the assault.
